WEEK 2 SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS

                                                                                             JUNE 23-26

Co-ed Basketball  Grades K-4 (9:00-1130am)

 

What a great way to introduce your child to the skills of basketball. If they have some playing experience, they will get more drills on the fundaments of basketball. They will learn to dribble and control the basketball. Passing and shooting will be emphasized during the offensive drill periods. Body position, foot movement and a good defensive position will be the focus of the defensive session. 

 

Tom Maloney, former LCHS coach and current Head of School, will be the lead coach in this camp.

 

Boys Baseball Grades 5-8 (9:00-11:30am)

 

The Lansing Catholic’s Baseball Camp is designed to teach each boy the fundamentals that will help him to become a successful baseball player. These fundamentals will include hitting, fielding, pitching, and catching. All players will be coached by the Lansing Catholic’s Baseball coaching staff.

 

Girls softball  Grades 5-8 (9:00-11:30am)

 

The Lansing Catholic's Softball Camp is designed to teach each girl the fundamentals that will help her be a successful softball player. These fundamentals will include hitting and fielding. There will also be a section of the camp dedicated to those girls who want to learn more about pitching and catching.

 

Boys Lacrosse  Grades 3-8 (9:00-11:30am)

 

The Lansing Catholic's Boys’ Lacrosse Camp is designed to teach the fundamental skills and tactics of lacrosse. Each camper will receive individual and team-oriented instruction. All players will be coached by Lansing Catholic's Boys’ Lacrosse coaching staff as well as team players. Campers need to bring a stick, gloves, armpads, shoulder pads, helmet, mouth guard, and a water bottle.

 

Boys Basketball  Grades 5-8 (Noon-2:30pm)

 

The Lansing Catholic's Boys’ Basketball Camp is designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball. Instruction by the Lansing Catholic's Basketball staff and players will include instruction of the fundamentals (shooting, passing, dribbling, screening, and defending), competitions (1-on-1, 3-on-3, and 5-on-5), and outstanding lectures.

 

Co-ed Science Grades K-4 (Noon-2:30pm)

 

Join us and have some fun while we experiment and engineer throughout the week. Students in science camp will watch great demos, create their own slime and make lots of explosions. Each student will make their own tie dye T-shirt and we will celebrate the week with making ice cream on Thursday. Science is messy, so wear clothes that can get stained!

 

Co-ed Golf  Grades 4-12 (Noon-2:30pm)

 

The Lansing Catholic's Golf Camp will focus on all facets of the game with an emphasis on solid fundamentals. Campers will be instructed in proper grip technique, set up and stance, and understanding the golf swing. All campers will be given drills to help them work on their golf game during the year. Campers will use the driving range, putting green and chipping area to work on their games.

 

Boys Football camp  Grade 9 (5:30-8:00pm)

 

The Lansing Catholic's Football Camp is designed to teach the fundamentals of football. Individual instruction by the Lansing Catholic's Football staff will help you develop the skills necessary to excel in today’s game.

 

Co-ed Soccer  Grade 5-8 (5:30-8:00pm)

 

While this is camp will focus on the fundamentals of playing soccer, match strategies will also be emphasized.  Beginners as well as the more advanced players will learn a lot in this camp. All campers should bring a water bottle to camp.
