Important Information and Frequently asked Questions

Welcome to Lansing Catholic Summer Sports Camps and our new sports camp web site. We are excited to get ready for another summer of seeing your kids learn the fundamental skills that we teach in all of our camps!

Lansing Catholic has a long history of offering a wide variety of camps they are inexpensive, well-run and fun for all involved. All of our camps are either taught by or under the watchful eye of our Varsity Coach in that sport or a classroom teacher who is proficient in that particular teaching area. We try to organize our camps so you can maximize the experience for your child if they want to attend more than one camp. We had many campers last summer attend 3 or more camps!

There is a significant savings if you register for camps in advance. This helps us determine if we have enough campers for a camp to actually happen and it also allows us to make sure we have t-shirts in the proper sizes for all of our campers.

FAQ:

My child wants to attend a camp in the morning session and a camp during the afternoon session on the same day. Can they do that? ANSWER: Our morning camps end at 11:30 and most of our afternoon camps start at noon. Have your child bring a lunch and they can eat in the cafeteria where they will be supervised by our staff and then led to check in for the next camp.

What is the camp cost for a second child in the same family coming to camp? Your first camper pays $65 for each camp they attend. Your second child pays $60 for each camp and your third child would pay $55 per camp.

Where is registration held? You enter the main doors of Lansing Catholic High School the first day camp where you will register, meet a camp counselor who will escort your child to the camp venue. On days 2-4 they go straight to the venue. Pick up is at the camp venue right at the end of camp.

Do you provide water at camp? Yes we do. We ask however that each child bring their own water bottle with their name clearly written on the bottle. We help them with refills as needed.

What equipment will they need for camp? Campers will need the normal equipment for the sport in which they participate. Basketball and Volleyball need gym clothes and court shoes. Soccer needs cleats or gym shoes and shin guards. Flag football is gym clothes and cleats or gym shoes. Lacrosse needs full equipment. (We do have extra lacrosse equipment for those who need it). Tennis campers will need a racket.

Do you cancel camp if it rains? If possible we may move a camp indoors on a rainy day but for the most part we try to have camp. If we have to cancel due to weather we use the same camp time on Friday as a make up day.
